Kingfishers, Magpies and Swallows
This term we were very lucky to be able to send two very talented year 1 children to a KS1 able writer’s day at Kingsford Infant School. Natalia Everitt and Rose Welham joined the school for the day.
The author running the event was the brilliant fiction writer Stephen Davies. The day was filled with fun activities to inspire the children to write imaginatively and creatively. The girls took part in a range of activities to build and support their fiction writing.
We are very proud of the work the girls did on the day!!

Please ensure your child brings their PE kit each week and all items of uniform are named in order for misplaced items to be returned. All earrings MUST be removed at home before PE lessons.
Reading and Spellings
All children’s books will be changed once a week (unless otherwise requested by the child).
Please could you ensure your child reads at least twice a week at home, this will enable them to build upon their reading skills taught within the school day, please don’t forget to sign your child’s reading record when they have read with you.
We would like to thank you for your support.
On Fridays the children will receive spellings to learn. Please encourage your children to practice their spellings throughout the week at home, below is a sheet with support for engaging children in spelling practice.
If you have any questions please come in and ask.
