Kingfishers, Magpies and Swallows
Our topic for Spring 2018 is ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. We will be classifying and learning facts about different animals. We hope to have some animals to visit us in school! We will be exploring maps and globes and identifying seas and oceans. We will learn what a jungle is and what it looks like and what might live there. We are going to make large animal models and use printing to represent animal patterns. We are going to rehearse and learn animal poems and write some of our own.
Our PE days are as follows:
Swallows – Monday and Wednesday
Magpies – Monday and Wednesday
Kingfishers – Monday and Tuesday
Please ensure your child brings their PE kit each week and all items of uniform are named in order for misplaced items to be returned.
Reading and Spellings
All children’s books will be changed once a week (unless otherwise requested by the child). Please don’t forget to sign your child’s reading record when they have read with you.
On Fridays the children will receive spellings to learn at home. Please encourage your children to practice their spellings throughout the week at home.
If you have any questions please come in and ask.
